Content concerns

How to make a report
If you believe content on RenterSay is defamatory, inaccurate, or constitutes a serious invasion of privacy, you can report it in two ways:
- Use the report form — the fastest option, auto-acknowledged by email with a reference number.
- Use the contact form and select “Report a content concern” or “Privacy concern” from the category menu.
Our 7-day response commitment
We acknowledge every content and privacy report by email within a few minutes of receipt. We will assess the report and take any necessary action within 7 calendar days of receiving it. This is a firm operational commitment and a requirement of our digital intermediary obligations.
Address-only model
RenterSay uses an address-only model. We do not collect, store, or display landlord names, agent names, company names, or any other personal or business identifiers. Reviews are of properties, not of individuals.
This design significantly reduces the risk that any content on the platform constitutes a serious invasion of privacy or identifies a private individual.
Reviewer anonymity
The identity of reviewers is never disclosed to complainants or to any third party, except where required by a valid court order. If you make a complaint, you will be informed of the outcome, but you will not be told who wrote the content you reported.
OAIC escalation
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
- Website: oaic.gov.au
- Phone: 1300 363 992
What happens after you report
- You receive an auto-acknowledgement email with a reference number.
- We review the report against our content guidelines.
- Within 7 days, we respond by email to let you know the outcome — no action required, content edited, or content removed.
- No further action is required from you unless we ask for more information.
